Marlene Celebrates the Joy of Creating in beautiful Okanagan, B.C.

"Welcome to my on-line Art Gallery.  It's a pleasure to share my artworks with you.

I live in the beautiful Okanagan in the province of British Columbia, Canada. I'm surrounded
by cool lakes, winding vineyards, blankets of orchards and natural woodlands. I enjoy walking
the land making sketches, taking reference photos and when possible plein air painting,
recording and interpreting the feel of the land. Nature's beauty continuously fills me with
wonder while I'm grateful for the privilege of being an artist.

I invite you to take a break from the busyness of life and escape to the Okanagan via my
artwork. I hope you enjoy your visit and feel inspired to see the beauty surrounding us in a
      new and fresh way.

If you enjoy my art and would like a 'touch of the Okanagan' in your life, or have any questions
regarding one of my paintings, art instruction, or my line of greeting cards, please contact me.
It would be my pleasure to hear from you."

Marlene works mainly in acrylic, pastel and watercolor, sometimes combined.  She signs her art M.G. Martins-McPherson. Her artworks are in private and public collections.  Marlene is also an educator and has taught art in the Okanagan since 1993.

'Everything seems full of blossom of some kind and at every step I take, and on whatever object I turn my eyes, that sublime expression of the Scriptures, "I am the resurrection and the life", seems as if uttered near me.'

John Constable 1776-1837
